I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
